Good evening all! Hope everyone has enjoyed their Saturday as much as I have.
As you know Nolan and I are Bruins fans and today was game 2 of the first round of the playoffs. But before the game started, we walked across the street for some Free Fun!
CHALLENGE: Find 1 free thing to do each day.
Today’s Free Fun is an age old tradition in my town. In the Spring, once the sun comes out, so do the cars!
Locals bring their antique cars to the diner for everyone to see. Majority of these patrons take this event very seriously! I always get a kick out of watching them pop the hoods and compare the size of their engines.
Since I was around 8 years old I have gone to Car Night at least once every season so see the classic cars and listen to the 50’s and 60’s music they play outside.
One of the perks to Car Night, is the diner itself: CJ’s Northside Grill. They have great food, especially their roast beef! Inside they have a definite Boston diner feel, complete with its own Green Monster replica.
Since I had such a great fitness morning, I stuck with a simple grilled hot dog, and some fries and onion rings. Their onion rings are incredible!
Nolan took a different approach and got their infamous roast beef sandwich with BBQ sauce, mushrooms, and sauteed onions.
Nolan was nice enough to give me a bite and it was beyond good. So much meat!
Our friend Matt came with us and he got a steak and cheese sub with peppers and onions. He added onion rings to the sub. Pro maneuver.
It was great to be able to sit outside in the sun, listen to some old school music, and look at all the classic cars. And besides the food, it was free! 🙂
