Good morning! I apologize for the lack of activity here this weekend. I feel like I am 2 days behind schedule with everything and I plan on playing catch up today.
Yesterday morning, Nolan and I set off to conquer another item on my Summer Bucket List! Our plan was to hike Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire. We met Nolan’s brother early in the morning with sandwich and plenty of water packed and ready to go! We were about half way to New Hampshire until…….
Yup. Flat tire. I don’t mean to sound pessimistic but this sort of thing ALWAYS happens to me. I have terrible luck with cars. At first it was a stressful and aggravating situation until we sat on the side of the highway eating our sandwiches and realized it was sort of comical.
It was a hell of a morning. Luckily Nolan had a donut so within the hour the problem was fixed. We finally got moving again but we were on a tight schedule and running very late so we had to go home instead of moving forward to the mountain. Instead of a day full of exercise we spent the afternoon at T.G.I.Fridays.
A Caribbean chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was actually very delicious. The chicken was grilled and submerged in avocado, and a homemade mango salsa.
Hopefully our hiking trip will be rescheduled asap! It is supposed to be very hot all week so we will have to wait for the heat to pass before climbing any rocks.
I also forgot to mention that on Friday we got out second shipment of crops from Bobbin Farm!
This week we got more greens. Most of them are the same as last week.
Salad greens, swiss chard, kale, radishes, green onions, cilantro and basil.
We also got the cutest little cucumber I have ever seen!
