Ugh! Knowing it’s only a 2 1/2 day week makes it really hard to commit to working! It’s also been very cold lately so getting out of bed is near impossible, especially since I have to get up 2 hrs before Nolan.
This morning, I have a few tangents for you all.
#1 I CANNOT wait to put up my Christmas tree on Friday! Nolan and I bought a fake tree a few years ago and I put it up the second he will let me, which is the day after Thanksgiving. Honestly, I spray it down with a pine scented air freshener and you cant tell the difference!
(This was 2 years ago)
I just love Christmas lights. I was totally that girl in college who had Christmas lights up all year long. They just make me smile.
#2 The count down to the 25 days of Christmas has begun on ABC Family!
My personal favorites include but are certainly not limited to :
- Holiday in Handcuffs
- Santa Baby Christmas Maybe
- Heat Miser Snow Miser
- The Santa Clause
- Home Alone
#3: As I mentioned yesterday, I have been watching Grey’s Anatomy.
I like I need to come clean about something. Remember that oh so addictive personality I have? Well my guilty pleasure is watching a series from start to finish. I have done this with countless tv shows and I am currently hooked on Grey’s. I watched the first few seasons when I was in college but stopped watching at some point. Since Thursday, I have watched 3 full seasons.Thank you Netflix!………….. No comment please.
#4 Matchbox Twenty just announced their U.S. tour dates! They are playing at Mohegan Sun Casino on March 8th and I couldn’t be more excited. The tickets are a bit too expensive for me to expect anyone else to go but I’m trying to talk Nolan into coming and just gambling while I enjoy me some Rob. 🙂
#5 This song has been stuck in my head for a week.
#6 Last night’s dinner was so yummy.
Pork tenderloin, acorn squash, and cheesy broccoli with rice (side steamer).
The pork loins were buy one get 2 free!!! 2 free! So exciting.
I had never cooked acorn squash before, but thanks to Google, it was very easy. I sprayed each half with cooking oil and sprinkled with some garlic salt. It took about 45 minutes to be tender. I am not 100% sold on it, but it was tasty enough. The pork on the other hand was juicy and full of flavor.
Ok time to get moving!
What is your favorite part of the holiday season?
