Sweet, savory, salty, and a bit sour. So many flavors to savor!IMAG5071

LUNCH

Lentil Soup

My Fairy Godmother gave me a can of Lentil soup to try from Trader Joe’s last time I saw her.

IMAG5092

I’ve actually never had lentil soup before so I really wasn’t sure what to expect but the nutritional stats looked great!

IMAG5093The smell of this soup is unreal, as is the flavor. I don’t typically eat soup that doesn’t contain some sort of meat, but my carnivorous side wasn’t at all disappointed.

IMAG5095

It was rich and hearty and I was stuffed after 1 serving thanks to all that fiber and protein! In the winter I eat a LOT of soup, generally Progresso Soup. I love Progresso, don’t get me wrong, but this soup made them look like fast food soup. The quality of Trader Joe’s products just can’t be matched.

IMAG5096

Needless to say I will definitely be buying this soup next time I go shopping.

ALSO- I recently bought lime sparkling water at Shaw’s and no joke, it tastes EXACTLY like Sprite! I def need to stock up next time I go there.

SNACK

Leftover veggies from our St Patty’s platter.

DINNER

Homemade pizza!

IMAG5097

Mine is topped with jerk chicken, peppers, onions, pineapple and low fat mozzarella!

IMAG5098

We finally used our deep dish pizza pans!

  1. Happy Blog anniversary 🙂 I would love to try any of these but the Nutty Bean roasted chickpeas definitely caught my eye!

  2. Happy blog birthday! Those Lucy’s chocolate cookies are calling to me. I have an uncontrollable sweet tooth, so I’m sure those would be right up my alley! 🙂

  3. Happy Blogiversary! I just recently switched to a mainly gluten-free diet and would love this box! I love pizza and would be most excited to try that! Yum! Happy blogiversary! I’m celebrating mine as well!

  4. Roasted chick peas? I’m pretty sure I need them. I, too, never had lentil soup until I was 25, and I don’t know why because it’s super easy to make and so inexpensive. Dried beans take forever, but lentils cook in about an hour. Just follow the directions on the bag and throw in as many vegetables and whatever meat you like (preferably something smoked), As much as I love Trader Joe’s, there isn’t much that can equal a homemade lentil soup. A couple squirts of hot sauce and some grated parm on top…hello!

  6. Feel free to delete this if my other comment actually went through, but it’s not showing up. I’d love to win the pizza crust! I make a gluten free version now, but a quick version would be awesome!
